Science Night Out

An evening packed with hands-on STEM activities

Learning, the fun way

Each Science Night Out is an evening packed with hands-on STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities for kids, led by Fernbank scientists, LINKS Robotics high school students, and mentors of the Fernbank LINKS Robotics team. Typical comments from previous years were,

“This is so cool!” “Mom, I don’t want to leave!“ and “When is the next one?“

There is a small charge to cover materials and to support Fernbank LINKS, as they continue to represent DeKalb County Schools as the only FIRST Robotics Competition team and Host of the GA BEST Robotics Hub. The target audience is fun-loving, science-aware children from 3rd grade through 6th grade. Each program occurs on a scheduled Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Parents drop their children off at the registration tables Johnson STEM Activity Center, 275 Decatur St SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, and pick them up at 9:00 p.m. The charge for the program is $20 per child. Registration is done through the Register Now link below.
